New Thermomix TM7 - what do we know?

There has been speculation for years over a new Thermomix, dubbed the TM7 after the last two models were TM5 & TM6. As a result we had a video message from Vorwerk to say there wouldn’t be a new Thermomix in 2024.

I’ve visited the Vorwerk factory in Wuppertal, Germany and I am sure that anything happening there will be kept top secret and definitely won’t be known by some of the random bloggers who have been suggesting release dates over the last 3 years (all of which passed with no new Thermomix).

The TM6 is an amazing appliance so even if a new model arrives, you’ll still be very happy with the TM6. As it is wifi enabled, it has improved over the years – a message announcing a new update on the screen lets you know that there is an update.

Since I got mine in 2019, many new functions have been added, including egg boiler mode, chopping mode and an improved self clean.
Since the TM6 was released Vorwerk have introduced a range of new accessories to improve the Thermomix (they’ve also been compatible with the TM5, reassuring us that Vorwerk still want to keep older models up to date).

When the TM6 arrived we (advisors & customers) were told 3 months before and advisors were able to sell the TM5 or pre-order the TM6 for our customers.

I expect a similar situation when the time comes for a new Thermomix.
It might not be called the TM7 – the older models didn’t follow a pattern.

Speculation is that the bowl may be bigger but much more than 2.2l (what it currently is) and you wouldn’t be able lift it when full.
I can’t think of anything to add to the TM6 other than maybe voice activation and that wouldn’t make me want to upgrade.
People ask about airfrying but I can’t think you could incorporate that into a Thermomix and I would prefer a separate one, so in short, I can’t see what you’d want to add to the TM6 as it is already amazing.

As and when there is information, I will share it here on my blog and social media but rest assured, the TM6 is an incredible appliance and it’ll keep you creating incredible meals for many years to come.

In short I’m happy to stick with my TM6, even if a new model comes out this year, as other than if it could turn itself into an oven, it has everything I need and more.
