Recipes suggestions
Cruciferous vegetables are good to have in your diet – broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, collard greens, radishes…. so here we have Broccoli Salad and here is a video and recipe for you
For your protein, chicken or lentils are a good source. Here I’ve chosen the coconut & spinach dhal on cookidoo
Oily fish – I’ve chosen terriyake salmon which also has broccoli with it
Beetroot is in the vasaldilator category. The Mayo Clinic describes Vasodilators as ‘Vasodilators are medicines that open, also called dilate, blood vessels. Vasodilators affect the muscles in the walls of the arteries and veins. They prevent the muscles from tightening and the walls from narrowing. As a result, blood flows more easily through the vessels’
Phytoestrogens ‘“Phyto-” is a Greek root word meaning “plant.” Estrogen is a female hormone that regulates functions in both women and men. Phytoestrogens, though plant-based, function much like animal estrogen in humans.’ Healthline
